Students in grades K-3 are invited to participate in an art contest while students in grades 4-12 are invited to participate in an essay contest.Additionally, students, parents, teachers and principals are invited to nominate full-time educators of all student grades for the Hispanic Heritage Month Excellence in Education Award.

The nomination and essay will be forwarded to the National 4-H Council, which will select a national award recipient from among all the state nominees. This award recognizes outstanding persons, businesses, or organizations that have contributed to making Washington State 4-H what it is today.

The recipient of the award will be honored at the Volunteer Recognition Banquet at the State 4-H Forum. This award recognizes outstanding staff members that have contributed to making Washington State 4-H what it is today.
